Thomas E. Cunningham

Thomas E. Cunningham has an Associates of Arts Degree in Religious Education and is currently completing his Bachelors of Theology Degree.  He became a licensed minister in 1997 and an ordained Pastor in 2000.  Rev. Cunningham's passion is evangelism and education.  His book ministry has donated thousands of dollars in books to shelter homes, hospitals, schools, and non-profit organizations in MD, DC and VA, as well as in Africa and South America.  Rev. Cunningham founded T.C. Community Development Services, Inc. in 2003 as a non-profit charitable organization for the purpose of providing developmental programs in areas where the need is the greatest and to create, maintain, and support need-based and area specific programs that respond to community social needs.  The goal of the organization is to provide programs that respond to community social needs while ministering to the mental and spiritual needs of those in the community.

Vision
To undertake new initiatives in communities where the need is the greatest.  To build places of shelter and refuge where individuals can come and be fed physically, mentally and spiritually, while developing and learning new skills to transition back into society.  To involve all age groups in community activities to help foster and embrace positive changes, encourage communication among the generations and restore individual values, morals and faith-based beliefs.  To reduce teenage pregnancy, truancy, and drup abuse by creating programs that provide spiritual and moral values to develop a healthy behavior among adolescents and build strong relationship bonds within the family.  To hold seminars, conferences, and workshops in various forums, addressing relevant social issues pertinent to the community.

Mission
To teach individuals how to grow and develop relationships within the family and their community.  To increase unity in the communities through educating and supporting families in such a way that it results in positive changes in the lives of each individual and reaches out to communities in other areas with such an impact that it creates a consistent and long-term result.  To reach out to the homeless and "at-risk" by creating a safe haven of love, support and encouragement; helping to restore faith in their belief of others and in society as a whole.  To encourage the wayward to change their way of living by teaching them and showing them love and support from caring citizens in their community.
