The vision of the Youth Ministry is to see that every youth has an opportunity to make an informed decision to become a follower of Jesus Christ and to become a part of the church. Because the needs and longings of young people are unique to their time, place, and life experiences, we seek to share the good news of Jesus Christ in a way that is relevant to them. It is our desire to help the youth develop attitudes and behavior patterns that allow them to function more constructively in society. Our youth ministry will include some of the following activities: teaching basic life skills, providing an opportunity for a relationship with a caring adult role model, promoting and developing a positive self-image, creating opportunities for positive peer group experiences, and sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

"Reconnecting to the young people is what Youth Day is all about." (Pastor Thomas Cunningham)
On our first Youth Day (Oct. 9, 2005), the Pastor established "Jersey Sunday." Believing that Christ's main concern is a person's heart and not their outward appearance, the Pastor felt that "Jersey Sunday" was one way of encouraging the youth to attend church. Because Jersey Sunday was such a success, it has now become a part of our Youth Day and is held quarterly. | |
